Four Years Later - A Letter from Jeremy's Mom
January 14, 2004. Four years since we lost Jeremy.
It has been a long road we have traveled. Ever thinking about Jeremy and what he might be doing now.
His Air National Guard unit went to New York City in the aftermath of 9/11. Jeremy would have been there. He most likely would be in Iraq right now if
his plans with the Air Force had come to fruition.
What new fashion statement might he be making? Or would he be past that? What pranks would he pull? What expensive vehicle would he be driving?
How would he wear his hair? Would he still be wearing the same cologne? What would be his new favorite movie? Who would he be flashing his
enduring smile at?
Would he be married? Would they have given me grandchildren by now?
All of that is only speculation of what might have been. Jeremy will never grow old and experience mid-life bulge, arthritis, gray hair or wrinkles.
He will be forever young in our minds.
We miss him so much and though our hearts will always cry for him, we still experience the peace that only a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
can fulfill. God allowed Jeremy to leave this earth at the age of 21. Jeremy has a jump on us in eternity. He is spared from any more heart aches and disappointment this life has to offer. I can't wait to see him
again.
Love,
Jeremy's Mom.
Jeremy's last Christmas in Roswell with his Mom.
